Questions about Taiv? Start here.
How the system works, what it costs, how you get paid, and the control you keep over every screen. The short answers are below.
What is Taiv?
Taiv is a cutting-edge AI-powered tech startup. We transform ordinary TVs in bars, restaurants, and retail venues into powerful self-promotional tools.
Taiv’s system is an all-in-one smart TV platform for businesses. Our tech plays promotions for the venue’s own products, licensed content (such as streaming channels, trivia, weather, etc.), music, TV automation, and relevant advertisements. It even detects commercial breaks in real-time during live sports and shows your promotions or relevant ads during them. This helps venues lift sales for their products, improve customer experience, and gain unprecedented control over every screen in their establishment.
How does Taiv’s system work?
Taiv installs a small smart device between your existing video source (like cable, satellite, or streaming) and your TV. Using advanced computer vision and AI, it identifies when commercial breaks occur and seamlessly switches to your venue’s content or Taiv’s partner ads.
Everything happens locally and instantly, no internet streaming delays, no changes to your existing cable provider, and no interference with live broadcasts.
What does it cost for the venue?
It’s completely free for qualified venues across the U.S. and Canada.
Taiv provides the equipment, handles installation, and offers full support at no cost. Venues also earn a share of ad revenue, creating an effortless new income stream.
We also have a paid plan that allows venues to almost exclusively play their own content. Less ads, more in-house promotions. Perfect for enterprise and local venues who prioritize increasing check size, brand awareness, and guest experience.
How and when does the venue get paid?
Venues receive revenue-sharing payments based on the number of ads displayed in their location. They receive a portion of all ads that are played in their venue, so more ads means more money. Venues get paid shortly after funds are received from the advertiser.
Can venues control what appears on their TVs?
Yes! Every venue gets access to an intuitive online platform where they can:
- Upload and schedule their own promotions and other content (e.g. food specials, events, offers).
- Choose ad categories they’re comfortable displaying.
- Schedule different TVs or zones to show different types of content at different times (eg: digital signage during happy hour, but live TV during sports).
- Access detailed revenue reporting to see how much your venue is earning daily.
- Blacklist any ad categories they don’t want showing (for example, competitors).
You’re always in full control of your on-screen experience.
What kind of content is shown besides ads?
The venue can show anything they want! You have complete control over what plays on your screens. Additionally, Taiv provides local promotions, trivia, music, and entertaining streaming channels (sports videos, pets, Earth landscapes, etc.) between or during breaks, keeping the atmosphere lively and guests engaged.
What is required to install or integrate Taiv?
Almost nothing on your end.
Our certified technicians handle the plug-and-play installation, connecting the Taiv device to your existing TVs and cable or streaming system. It’s fast, secure, and requires no technical experience, or, your IT team can install Taiv yourself if you prefer.
Which types of venues qualify for Taiv?
Taiv is perfect for:
- Sports bars, pubs, and nightclubs
- Restaurants and cafes
- Convenience stores, fuel retailers, and other retail locations
- Gyms, hotels, and event spaces
If your business has TVs and customers on-site, Taiv can help you generate more value from your screens.
What about maintenance, support, and downtime?
Taiv provides free customer support, both remote and on-site. If there’s ever an issue, our team will fix or replace the equipment quickly. Most issues are resolved in under 24 hours.
Is Taiv Legal? (U.S. & Canada Advertising Law Explained)
Taiv is 100% legal!
Our system fully complies with broadcasting, advertising, and copyright laws across the United States, Canada, and North America.
Taiv does not alter, redistribute, or rebroadcast TV channels. Instead, our proprietary hardware detects when a commercial break occurs and locally switches to a different HDMI input (similar to changing the channel). Since we aren’t modifying, overwriting, or changing the original feed, Taiv is legal to use. It’s like hiring a DJ to switch your TV input during commercial breaks, but automated using AI. Our content is pre-approved and fully compliant, such as your own venue promotions or partner advertising.
We operate transparently within the law:
- ✅ Broadcasting compliance: Taiv never interferes with or retransmits signals.
- ✅ Advertising regulations: We follow all applicable Canadian Competition Bureau and U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) advertising standards.
- ✅ Copyright protection: All content displayed through Taiv is either owned by the venue, licensed to Taiv, or cleared for public display.
- ✅ Privacy protection: We adhere to PIPEDA (Canada) and CCPA (California) privacy regulations for data handling.
Taiv’s legal framework has been carefully developed to ensure every installation, campaign, and partnership meets regional requirements.
In short: Taiv gives venue owners full control over their screens, and peace of mind knowing everything is 100% legal, transparent, and regulation-compliant.
Where is Taiv operating today, and what’s next?

Two sides of the same screen.
Venues take control of their TVs, run their own promos, and earn from every break. Brands reach real crowds during the games that matter. Whichever side you are on, Taiv is how the screen pays off.
